This is a fellowship group that meets the 4th Friday of the month either at someone’s home or at the church. The November meeting is on the 3rd Friday of the month due to Thanksgiving and there are no scheduled meetings in December, January, July or August.
The evening begins about 6 p.m. when people start to gather at the host/hostess’ location or at the church and set up for a wonderful pot luck dinner. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and the actual program follows about 7:00 p.m. Our program consists of a variety of topics and/or speakers.
We have had outside speakers such as the architect in charge of our recent church’s restoration and recently, Joan Countryman who helped Oprah Winfrey set up her Leadership Academy in South Africa. Often our own members present music, travelogues or information on our area of interest.
If you would like to attend a FRIDAY SEEKERS’ get together for a great time of fun, food, and fellowship as well as an evening of information, contact me either by email [email protected] or in care of the First Baptist Church, 75 North Main Street, Providence, 02903.

Stephen made full use of the new video screen in the Fellowship Hall, showing images to accompany his narration and music. The dove has long appeared as one of the most common symbols of Christ. Here it was shown while the music of Felix Mendelssohn, "O, For the Wings of a Dove," was being played.
